The collaborative actively advocates for its approaches to connecting schools and resource providers, and encourages and welcomes the entire education community to be fully engaged in its work.

Connect2Educate Collaborative believes in the following concepts which drive its advocacy work:

  • working collaboratively
  • working efficiently
  • bridging the knowledge gap
  • bridging the inequity gap

ENGAGING THROUGH ADVOCACY

In May 2009, the C2E Collaborative issued an Open Letter that advocated for further collaboration between schools and community resources and invited those interested to join the 2009-2010 Planning Committees. The message contained in the Open Letter was endorsed by 25 organizations and schools.

“While significant progress has been made in engaging community support of public schools and public school children, the C2E Collaborative is looking to make the 2009-2010 Connect2Educate Event and Notebook even more productive and successful for the benefit of New Orleans public schools and public school students.”

The letter was sent to nearly 300 education stakeholders, including public school principals, local and state administrators, community resource providers, and non-profit leaders.

The collaborative encourages your engagement in our work. Please sign up to be added to our mailing list or contact us for more information on current opportunities to become involved.
