Connect2Educate (C2E) Collaborative Announces Program Endorsements and June 23 Information Reception

The Connect2Educate (C2E) Collaborative is looking to partner with schools and organizations to help ensure that all public schools, their students and families have access to quality resources and programs available to them in our community.  Formed in 2008, the C2E Collaborative coordinated a networking event in March 2009, and published the C2E Notebook which details more than 100 organizations whose programming is offered to public schools and public school students. The C2E Notebook closes the knowledge gap about the availability of programs among school leadership teams. Armed with current, relevant information, every public school community is now better equipped to engage those programs which enrich the school experience for children.

While significant progress has been made in engaging community support of public schools and public school children, the C2E Collaborative is looking to make the 2009-2010 Connect2Educate Event and Notebook even more productive and successful for the benefit of New Orleans public schools and public school students.

C2E already has enlisted the endorsement of the following schools and organizations:  Excite All-Stars, Family Service of Greater New Orleans, Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans, New Orleans Outreach, YA/YA Inc., Lafayette Academy Charter School, Ogden Museum of Southern Art/University of New Orleans, Live Oak Elementary School, The Louisiana Children’s Museum, Children's Bureau of New Orleans, Clark High School, City Year Louisiana, Sports4Kids, Operation Saving Our World (S. O.W.) Inc., teachNOLA, Open World Family Services, Inc., Teaching Responsible Earth Education, THE EYES HAVE IT!, INC.,Computer Success Center, Academia de Capoeira Onda Nova, L.L.C., Mercy Family Center, Audubon Zoo, YMCA Of Greater New Orleans, Southeast Louisiana Council, BSA, Girl Scouts Louisiana East, LSU Ag Center, Concordia, LLC., Child Adolescence Response Team (CART), Crocker Arts and Technology School, Hands on New Orleans, Hermann-Grima/Gallier Historic Houses, and Raintree Children & Family Services.
